Christenings (Baptisms)

A smiling priest wearing white robes holds a baby with light brown hair and blue eyes inside a church. Flowers and a lit candle are visible in the background.

A Christening, or Baptism, is a joyful celebration of new beginnings and God’s love. In baptism we give thanks for the gift of life, we turn towards Christ, and we welcome a new member into the family of the Church. Many people choose to bring their children for baptism as a way of marking the start of their spiritual journey, but baptism is also a meaningful step for adults who wish to affirm their faith and become part of the Christian community.

Whether you are exploring baptism for your child or considering it for yourself, we would be delighted to support you.

To find out more or to begin arranging a Christening, please contact the Rector, Rev Dom de Mattos, on 01946 830215 or email rector@harringtonand distington.org.

You will receive a warm welcome and all the guidance you need.
